Robot vacuum brands compared: who to trust in 2026
The robot vacuum market changed fast. The best-tested robots now come from a handful of brands most people hadn’t heard of five years ago, and the brand everyone knows went through bankruptcy.
The questions people ask before they buy, with a straight answer and the robot or fix that handles each one.
🌏
Are Chinese robot brands safe to use?
Most leading robot brands, including Roborock, Dreame and Ecovacs, are Chinese, and iRobot is now owned by Picea. Use the privacy settings in the app, keep firmware updated and put smart devices on a guest network.
📱
Which brand has the best app?
Vacuum Wars describes Roborock’s and Dreame’s apps as feature-rich, flagged mixed user feedback on MOVA’s, and noted mapping and connectivity complaints on Narwal’s.

Which brands will still sell parts in a few years?
Nobody can promise that, but third-party kits are a good sign. Our Amazon data already included kits for Roomba, Roborock and Ecovacs models.
Judge the robot, not the logo. We only rank models with independent test results, which is why the Amazon-native budget brands aren’t on our lists yet.
🏷️
Brand by brand
Dreame
Dreame builds the slimmest and best-climbing robots in our data. The X60 Max Ultra Complete led Vacuum Wars’ rankings this summer, the L60 Pro Ultra is our carpet pick, and the D line covers tight budgets.
Ecovacs leads on roller mops. The T90 Pro Omni posted the second-highest combined mopping score Vacuum Wars has recorded, and its OmniCyclone models drop dust bags entirely.
Roborock’s Saros 10R tops RTINGS’ list, and its Qrevo and Q lines cover most budgets. None were in our latest Amazon data, so our guide links to searches.
MOVA, Dreame’s sister brand, aims at value. TechGearLab’s best pick for most people is the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra, and Vacuum Wars ranked the newer V70 Ultra Complete first in October.
The brand that made robot vacuums mainstream, owned by Picea since its Chapter 11 ended in January 2026. Its budget Roomba 105 trailed rivals in Vacuum Wars’ tests.
Xiaomi’s newer robots are hard to find in US stores; our Amazon results only turned up the original 2016 Mi Robot, which we don’t recommend buying now.
Yeedi robots share parts with some Ecovacs models, as compatible accessory kits show. Vacuum Wars rated the Yeedi S20 Infinity highly for pet hair and noted its bagless dock.
Plenty of $100 to $250 robots from brands like Tikom and VONKO claim laser mapping and self-emptying. We skip them until independent tests exist.
